General Information

The Bartlett Park District was formed by a successful public referendum vote on January 18, 1964. In 1969 the Village of Bartlett donated the first 13-acre parcel to the Park District, which was part of Sunrise Park. The District now owns 577 acres and leases another 20 acres for the recreational needs of our community. With 43 parks, a community center, two pools, two golf courses, a special occasion facility, ski hill, athletic field complex, nature center, and more the district is a shining example of adding a wide array of recreational opportunities to its community.

The Bartlett Park District has been a Distinguished Accredited Agency since 1999. Accreditation is a voluntary program that uses a set of standards to evaluate and identify agencies throughout the state that provide exceptional Park and Recreation services to their community to improve their quality of life. Bartlett Park District was also a National Gold Medal finalist in 2009 and 2010.
