Athletic Fields

SOCCER

There are a variety of soccer fields throughout the park system used for practice, games, and recreational play. Weather permitting, the fields are open April 1-November 20. To help with field repairs no goals are out from June 15-September 1. Please abide by signs indicating that a field is closed.  Please check Field Conditions posted on Teamsideline or call the soccer hotline 630-540-4892. Due to conditions fields may be closed at times to prevent damage and allow time for the field to be repaired.

Guidelines for Field Closures and Game or Practice Cancellations

  1. A footstep leaves an impression in the turf or if the grass is removed easily with a cleat; this is considered a wet field
  2. Standing puddles of water on the field
  3. Footing is unsure and slippery
  4. Ground is water-logged and squishy
  5. Grass can be dislodged from the ground easily
  6. Unsafe facility conditions-glass, exposed stones and rocks, etc.
  7. The use proves to be destructive or detrimental to quality of turf.
  8. Frozen field
  9. Lightning
  10. Periods of forecasted severe weather warning

FIELD RENTALS

There are a variety of athletic fields available for rent when they are not reserved for programs. To rent and reserve a field you must fill out a Field Rental Request Form. Permit fees are due once the request has been approved.

The Bartlett Park District works with local Community Sport Groups which are not-for-profit corporations or organizations dedicated to offering and promoting a sports program compatible with and supplementing the park district programs. To qualify at least 60% of the members/participants must be residents of the Bartlett Park District. To rent and reserve a field you must fill out a Field Rental Request Form. Permit fees and certificates of insurance are due once the request has been approved.
